CHOOSING A GOLF HYBRID

Why and how to choose a hybrid?

Composed with a graphite shaft, the hybrid was created to replace the long irons (5-iron, 4-iron or 3-iron generally) of your set of irons. It is easier to play (especially in the rough) and will provide a higher ball flight than your irons.

CHOOSING A GOLF HYBRID

Why choose a hybrid golf club?

The hybrid golf club is known for being the middle ground between a fairway wood and a golf iron. Composed of a graphite shaft, this golf club is designed to replace the long irons used by professionals as well as the shorter fairway woods. It replaces mainly the 2, 3, 4, and 5 irons as well as the 5 and 7 woods.

The hybrid has the same accuracy as an iron while having a low center of gravity like a fairway wood. Whether it's off the tee, in the rough or on the fairway, the hybrid is a versatile solution for every stage of your game.

When choosing a hybrid golf club, there are two criteria to consider: the loft adjustment (the opening of the angle) with the position of the club head and the flexibility of the shaft like other golf clubs.

How to choose the right hybrid club?

Just like other clubs, choosing the right shaft flexibility for your swing speed is an important consideration.

A soft shaft makes it easier to get the ball off the ground at impact, while a stiff shaft gives you more accuracy.

Many hybrid clubs also have an adjustable loft, allowing you to change the ball's trajectory according to your playing habits.

For example, a 19° hybrid will replace your 3-iron or 5-wood.

A 22° hybrid will replace your 4-iron or 7-wood.

The 25° hybrid will replace your 5-iron.

Are you a beginner?

We recommend that you start with hybrids instead of fairway woods or drivers. Whether on the fairway or the rough, they are much more forgiving and help you get out of tricky spots more easily.
